My favourite whisky is Auchentoshan, the triple distilled Lowlander near Glasgow. As a tribute to this whisky, and a chance to showcase my collection, I have created the website A Toshan Man. Slàinte!
In 2010 we started a project called Save the Lars Homestead, a fan based effort to save the iconic movie location from Star Wars where Luke Skywalker grew up. In May 2012 we went out to Tunisia and fulfilled that destiny.
I am a lover of whisky and thought it was about time I started my own website on the dram. Together with a couple of co-workers, I started Whivie, which means Whisky voor Iedereen, which translates into Whisky for Everyone. I plan to publish my tasting notes, but also encourage other drammers to do the same. After all, it's an interactive site for beginners to connoisseurs, to share experiences and to learn to appreciate that golden liquid, better know as the water of life. Cheers!
Marieken Callebaut is a yound and dynamic foodcoach in my neck of the woods. She is currently coaching me to lose weight (I really needed it) and doing a good job. Since January 2008 and June 2008, we managed to get rid of 9 kilograms. Good job, Marieken! I thanked her with a website.
Niek Verniers is a close personal friend and colleague in Star Force Events - he's the secretary while I'm the president, so I get to boss him around from time to time :-) Like me, he's fond of traveling the world to find movie locations. While I have limited myself to Star Wars locations, Niek and his girlfriend Ilse have no such limits. I helped him create a website for it, which is considered a very factual guide to Movie Set Locations Around the World.
Van der Waerden is a very succesful interior design and furniture outlet in Denderleeuw, Belgium. The owners are personal friends of mine. When I saw their website for the first time, I thought it was dreadfully outdated, so I designed a new one for them and gave them the design as a gift. I'm proud to say they forwarded the design to their regular webmaster who had the good taste of using the website.
In my spare time, I am the president of Star Force Events. We organise cultural events, such as movie premiere, gaming events, concerts, product presentations, etc. Our specialty is booking special guests for your event, e.g. actors from the Star Wars films. The website also sports a portfolio, showing you what we've done so far. I'm sure you'll be duly impressed.
